The total required training time is 62 hours to complete course work and testing; 12 hours are hands on in an assisted living community, 20 hours are homework and completed at your home, and 30 hours are completed online (the 30-hours is subject to change depending on the COVID Pandemic and may convert back to classroom learning). In preparation for graduation, the state requires students to obtain; a background check, finger print ID card, food handlers card, CPR/First Aid Certificate, and a TB test. All these costs will be paid for by CareWorks and our Care Coach will assist you in obtaining these items. Students will be paid minimum wage up to 62 hours to complete the certification program.
